Alright Mela is an oriental electro-dub trio formed in 2021 by Markus and Cheb Xavi, later joined by Moroccan Gnawa artist Jaouad El Garouge. Their music blends electronic beats, oud, and guembri with influences from the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East. Through powerful songs addressing themes such as migration, war, discrimination, and poverty, the group combines social awareness with energetic, danceable rhythms. Their name, Alright Mela, means All is well in Maltese and reflects their message of hope, cultural unity, and a better world. The trio released its first EP in 2024.
